Commemorating the 579th Anniversary of Hangeul Day

16th Annual Gwanghwamun Square  Calligraphy Competition

Join us on Hangeul Day (October 9th) for a special event celebrating the excellence and uniqueness of Hangeul, a designated world cultural heritage.

The event is proudly sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Korea and the   Seoul Metropolitan Government.

To recreate the atmosphere of the Joseon Dynasty's civil service examination, participants will wear a Durumagi, a traditional Korean overcoat.

Participants will be given gifts. as well as a complimentary calligraphy experience voucher prior to the event.
