Commemorating the 578th Anniversary of Hangeul Day

15th Gwanghwamun Square Calligraphy Competition

The celebration event to promote the excellence and uniqueness of Hangeul, a world cultural heritage, takes place on October 9th which is Hangeul Day.

The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Korea and the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

During this celebration, each participant wears a Durumagi which is a Korean traditional overcoat to recreate the Joseon Dynasty's civil service examination.

Participants will be given generous gifts. In addition, participants can join for free and will receive a free calligraphy experience voucher before the event.
